NEW HOME FOR "FAB"

In an attempt to improve traffic for We Call This Music Fab, we're going to try relocating and becoming part of the "Earth's Mightiest" network. Outside of url, things will stay the same and hopefully improve as we celebrate the Beatles and those they've influenced to create original music in their style. PAUL MCCARTNEY'S "RETURN TO PEPPERLAND"

Back in 1987 Sir Paul worked on and then didn't release the song "Return to Pepperland." Amazingly, even unfinished this track remains one of Paul's most infectious ever. An imaginative fan put this music video together for the song.

ALMOST FAB UPDATE

Got the winter blues? Well, we've got the remedy. Almost Fab is back at the Swedes Inn this Saturday, February 28 with the best of the Beatles! The show stars at 9pm and we'll be playing your Fab Four favorites all night.
   Come early because seating is first come, first served. Reservations are accepted for parties of 8 or more. These shows sell out to get your seats NOW! If you cann and they are not taking anymore reservations, limited seating almost always becomes available at show time.
   The Swedes Inn is located at 301 N. Kings Highway, Swedesboro, NJ. Call them at 856-467-2052 or visit them on the web at http://www.swedesinn.com. A HARD DAY'S NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (the title says it all)

CHRIS O'NEILL: "HEY NOW"

Several years ago Chris O'Neill, who played George Harrison in the film Backbeat and who is a part of the Backbeat Beatles as well as the band Water, recorded the song "Hey Now." In the clips that follow, he plays an excerpt from the song on a talk show, followed by a music video created for it.

BEATLES DAY

The 10th July 2008 has been officially rechristened as the first ever BEATLES DAY – 24 hours when the people of Liverpool will show their love for the Fab Four and raise money for the ALDER HEY IMAGINE APPEAL and LIVERPOOL UNITES.
   Over 20,000 specially made Beatles-style mop-top wigs will be sold around Merseyside in the days leading up to 10th July. Following a day of celebrations all over the region, the spectacular climax will come in the shape of IMAGINE – THE CONCERT at the Summer Pops, hosted by RICKY TOMLINSON. He will be joined by a host of artists, young and old, from around the country, all performing Beatles favourites at a packed Liverpool Arena!
   Chas Cole, Summer Pops promoter and one of the people behind the BEATLES DAY idea.  He says: “Everyone’s got a Beatles story in this city, haven’t they? The concert at the Echo Arena will be a great way to finish, but BEATLES DAY is really a chance for the ordinary people of Liverpool to share their memories and have some fun while raising money.
   “This is a day where culture will truly belong to the people of Liverpool, when they can show what makes this city the European Capital of Culture; its heritage, humour, boundless enthusiasm under pressure and above all, its ability to not take itself too seriously. B-Day here we come!”
   Phil Redmond at the Culture Company, said: “Liverpool and The Beatles are inseparable. Liverpool made the Beatles what they were and their immortal heritage has come to play a huge role in the way the city is viewed around the world today.
   “I would love people to come to view BEATLES DAY as a landmark on the calendar in years to come.”
